A collection of kitten ornaments.
Several cherished toys knit by my grandmother.
My items have traveled to homes in the US and throughout the world.

A Family Tradition

My earliest memories of my grandmother are of her knitting - knitting in our living room on visits, knitting on the train or bus when traveling - and the knitted dolls and animals she made for me are among some of my most treasured possessions.

When she began to pass along some of her pattern books and knitting needles I decided it was time to get serious about learning to knit. I could manage a garter stitch scarf, but dedicated myself to learning the skills necessary to make dolls and toys similar to the ones that I cherish. Soon it became clear that I could not keep all of my creations and so my Etsy shop was born!

Now I make the time to fit knitting in around a busy schedule full of work, family and fun. I find it relaxing and peaceful to see my creations take shape and develop personalities of their own. I love the intimacy of knitting because every centimeter of yarn in a finished project has passed through my hands. I hope to continue to expand my knowledge and skills and some day pass along the art of knitting to my daughters.

At Knit, Too you will find adorable and cuddly gifts handmade with love to pass along to children and grandchildren that will always be included among their most treasured toys. You will also find a variety of lovely scarves, ornaments, wool cloth diaper covers and the occasional odd or end - a bit of everything with knitting, too!

I can only say... possibly! I will do my best to make any changes. A simple change (like eye color on my kitten ornaments) I am happy to do free of charge as long as I have the color you're looking for on hand. For more detailed requests PLEASE contact me before purchasing as the time and complexity of the request may make a difference in the item's price or I might need to create something from scratch just for you.
